Mount Fang
The Headquarters of the Order of the Fang Blades resides on the Western coast of the Hiawatch Desert, in an area that has not been overtaken by the harsh desert sands, or heat, an oasis on the coast that has persisted it's magnificence for centuries. It's location is well known to the Children of Nora, but has never been ventured towithout cause or invitation. The place is considered holy by most, ominous my few. Within is held the secrets of the Fang Blades and those who wield them, as well as some secrets the common folk should never know.
Purpose / Function
Mount Fang is a mountain, who insides and tunnels have been hollowed out to accomidate rooms and functional living spaces for the Fang Bladers and their vassals. It is meant to act as both a stronghold, as well as a domicile for those who take shelter within. It also functions as a holy site and training ground for up and coming Vassals or their Bladers.
Design
From the front gate, the hallway splits into two irections, one leads towards the Order's functional rooms, the Library, Meeting hall, Shrines, and so forth. The other leading to the domicile rooms; living quarters, kitchens, underground baths and saunas, so forth.
Entries
There are three known entrances into Mount Fang. The first being the front gate. The gate is set into the stone, the ediface of which resembling that of a gaping, fanged maw. The snout of the beast undefined and almost featureless. The gate sits at the end of a long bridge that stretches across the lagoon on the southern side of the mountain. The gate is forged from rod Iron, a very heavy piece, meant to keep enemies from entering without warning. behind the gate sits two heavy wooden doors, bound by the same iron as the gate's forged from. The doors are a dark oak wood, upon them is inscribed a mantra of the Order; "The Greater Demons are no more, now there remains only we who carry on their fangs to remind the beasts that linger in the Inferno that they are no longer safe."
The second entrance is upon the North cliff face, facing the ocean. The entrance is higher than ground level, guarded by a balcony and veranda of carved stone. Here is where the Fang Bladers may land their aireal transportation, just beyond this opening resides the stables within which are housed said creatures.
The Third entrance is at the summit of the mountain, which opens up to a training yard of sorts. This location is difficult to get to from the exterior of the mountain, but as simple as ascending a flight of steps from within.
Alterations
All of the tunnels that had woven their way through the interior of the mountain have been expanded out, alcoves have been carved into grand meting halls, libraries, sacred shrines, as well as living quarters, or even pens and stables for animals. Though it has never been confirmed or denied whether this was present prior to the establishment of the Order, the entrance for the fortress has been carved into the visage of a fanged maw. If nothing else, it does round out the look and bring the entire ensemble together as a whole.
Architecture
The interior of the Mountain is carved from solid rock with expert craftsmanship. The act of removing stone from the once narrow tunnels has given way to very sturdy and minimalist architectural styling. The First Generation were not in the line of work of creating a masterpiece. At the time, the remaining broods of the greater Demons were at large and needed to be put down. They needed the Mountain to be functional, rather than splendorous.
History
Mount Fang stood long before the Fang Blades came into being. It was first a mountain, who had never held more than the average or quickly passing nomadic tribe of folk. Though, it is clear from carvings and trinkets found within the deepest caverns that the place could have been used by a long ago tribe who would have taken shelter from the Greater Demons deep in the bowels of the mountain.
When the Fang Blades and the Order that followed formed, they settled on the mountain thanks to it's fairly centralized location on the world map. The first Generation of the Fangs went about carving the tunnels about into manageable and comfortable living quarters,as well as creating a functioning base of operations from which later generations could use effectively. To this day, the mountain stands undisturbed by any who do not carry a Fang Blade, or their loyal Vassals.
Tourism
Mount Fang is considered to be a location off limits to those uninvited or not permitted to set foot within. In this way, it does not frequent visitors of any kind. Most who wish to look upon the mountain stand at the edge of the border, defined as the holdings of the Order and merely gaze upon the peak as it grows out from the green wood that surrounds the roots.
