Minest, Weaver of Lies

Minest, also known as the Webbed Menace and the Mother of spiders, is a malign deity that has crossed over from the Realm of the Fae. A powerful Fae from the Domain of Winter, her pride was only outmatched by her greed and deceitfulness. She was scorned by all, including the dreaded Frost Prince, and her territory was regularly besieged on all sides. Though she fought to reclaim lost land, she found a safer option in a portal to the Realm of the Gods. She took it, ending up deep in the underground between Amaranthine and the Worldspine. She left an illusion behind to guard her citadel in the Fae Realm as few would dare to approach it, and began forging her new home deep below the earth. She laid dormant for two centuries and found herself natural enemies in the Dwehrlen and the Ehlen from the surface above. Though she hasn't reached the power necessary to feud directly with the Major Gods of this world, she has enough magickal power and forces under her to retain deific status.

Appearance and Depictions

Minest bears the appearance of a Snow Elf from the waist up, pale, frosty white skin and long white hair with icy blue eyes. The bottom of her elven torso merges into the sternum of a spider, hard chitinous plating like steel covering her body and eight bladed legs. The fur on the spider holds a pattern of a vivid blue and bright white. The sternum of the spider bears a wicked maw on the front filled with powerful fangs. She wears an elaborate collar around her neck and wields a curved sword. Emblems depicting her worship will portray a blue spider on top of a snowflake. Artworks depicting her are only found in her city underground, in the form of elaborate sculptures of her likeness.

Powers and Followers

Minest, a gifted liar and deceiver, is a master of illusionary arcane magick. She can regularly create illusions of herself and others, using them as scouts or distractions in combat. Her half-spider body can weave powerful webs, aside from the brute force the body holds. Her collar is enchanted to empower her illusions and intimidation attempts while her spellsword channels elemental frost magicks. Her body frequently lays eggs, which hatch into either Snow Elves, spiders, or more hybrids of the two to expand her forces.
Followers of Minest are found exclusively amongst her spawned forces.
