The Wardens are a guild of professionals dedicated to the protection and preservation of Magickal Beasts. They were founded after the War of Magi Ascension by Walter Darwin, a researcher from Das Konigreich who confirmed the deaths of seven exclusive species from The Collective's attack on Amaranthine. He was sickened by the loss, thinking of the fact that his children would never get to see these extinct species with their own eyes. Walter desired to prevent this from happening again and founded the first Wardens chapter in the rebuilt city of Sicerrone. 
After their founding just over two hundred years ago, Warden Chapters have started to pop up in various nations, particularly among those located in the western hemisphere. The guild has gained quite the following despite it's young age. Now with over two thousand members and climbing, they have been able to procure legal protections for their mission and promote their cause on a worldwide level. Over ten percent of their members still take residence in the original founding house in Sicerrone, with the grand majority of the rest being field agents. 
Each chapter of the Wardens will be located in a different geographical region of the world and helmed by a Chapter Master. The size of the are that a chapter will cover is completely dependent on the density of species variety and the available members in the chapter. Certain members will be elected to serve as diplomats, travelling to other cities or settlements and petitioning the local government for permission to open new chapters. They hope to one day have a chapter in every corner of the world and protect every variety of Magickal Beast. 

Capture, Breed, Research

These are the three most important facets of maintaining a protected species in the eyes of a Warden. Field agents spend the majority of their time researching their designated area and taking stock of the wildlife. Once they have discovered a species with a low enough population to be considered endangered, they will declare it to be protected and notify the local population - most particularly the local hunters and those whose professions may interfere with the ecosystem. Once identified, capturing an egg, baby, or a pregnant female of the species becomes the highest priority. Field agents may contract adventurers to help them in this if the creature or locale is too dangerous for them to pursue themselves. 
After the Magickal Beast or egg is captured, it will be transported back to a chapter base. Most of the time this will be the local chapter so that the Wardens have better access to the home environment and resources. Though, the more dangerous species will be taken back to the home chapter where the most practiced breeders and elaborate cages are located. The Wardens designated as breeders take advantage of all of the research and magicks at their disposal in order to ensure the growth and development of healthy younglings into adulthood. 
Once reaching adulthood, the Magickal Beast is then committed to one of two paths; they are tagged and reintroduced into their natural habitat for monitoring and contributing to species growth, or they are kept as companionship animals for personal research. The best way to research the aptitude and powers of a Magickal Beast is to be able to feel and witness them firsthand. Many Wardens have a companion animal that they have raised themselves through membership - each responsible for the close research and monitoring of the species they have as companions.

Primordial Eggs

While the source remains the highest level of confidentiality in their order, most have heard tales of the legendary Primordial Eggs exclusive to the Wardens. Rumors state that the Wardens founding chapter in Sicerrone have access to a 'Primordial Soup' formed out of raw Magick that they use to create artificial eggs. These eggs are said to have the capabilities of hatching into any variety of Magickal Beast - even one that may not exist at the time of it's formation. Naturally, these eggs are highly sought after by both collectors and those who wish to tame a Magickal Beast for any variety of uses. The Wardens hold their secrets close and choose their trusted members carefully to weed out infiltrators.
