Cardiff Railyard
The abandoned rail terminal built in the late 1800's to service the growing shipyards of the Hampton Roads have since fallen into disrepair. Once a bustling economic hub that employed close to 10,000 workers they succumbed to the economic downturn of the 1930's and never fully recovered.
They have been targeted for urban renewal efforts several time but each time corruption and lack of funds have hindered the project. The latest failing in the early 1980s. Since then it has become a hotspot for a vibrant gang culture and transient community.
To the Kindred of Hampton Roads this part of the Barrens was the scene of a battle with a party of Shovelheads during the East Coast Crusade.
