The Anarch Movement

Anarch Movement   Also known as the Anarch Movement, the vampires who claim membership in this faction are generally younger and refer to themselves frequently as “The Unbound,” to indicate their common belief that each vampire is responsible for herself.   The Movement began as a revolution against the Camarilla in the late 15th century, and in recent decades it has grown quickly, as younger Kindred find it hard to understand why they should follow the commands of elders who seem perfectly happy to sacrifice them to the Second Inquisition--which they now admit they caused.   The word on the street is revolution: no more compromises, no more politics, no more trying to make deals with the Camarilla. The Movement is finally escaping the the centuries-long lethargy it fell into after the Convention of Thorns. The Anarchs are remembering now to fight, galvanized by the revelation that the Camarilla is at fault for creating the Second Inquisition.   Anarch Free States   In 1944, Jeremy MacNeil led a revolt against the Prince of Los Angeles. The young Kindred who followed him succeeded in killing the Prince and forcing the Camarilla to withdraw to San Francisco. Isaac Abrams, Tara Kearney, and Nines Rodriguez were both part of the Revolt. Nines is considered by many Anarchs to be a war hero and living legend because of how he fought. California from San Diego to San Francisco was divided up into territories called Baronies.   Shortly after the revolt, MacNeil grew to believe that the Anarch Free States had failed and left. He has not been seen in many years.   In the Hampton Roads Over the years the Anarchs have had a presence in the Hampton Roads even ruling it briefly during the period of Bacon's Rebellion.   There have been other notable moments of tension between the establishment and the nascent Anarchs as well. The Red Question incident forced the Prince into a harsher posture than she otherwise wished. Alison Carter 's escape from the city and subsequent Blood Hunt as well made the prince appear harsh and repressive.   Led for years by the charismatic Brujah [Malena Castillo who kept the tensions to a low simmer she was forced to flee after the Convention of Prague in 2013.
