Greycastle

This settlement is in a strategic location on the trade road from Waterdeep to Neverwinter. For generations this settle was overseen by its namesake. The Greycastle family founded this haven to protect the region keeping the road as safe as they could from the occasional but always threatening raids of sahuagin from the Sword Sea and the orcs of the Sword Mountains.
Tragedy struck as a dispute arose when Duke Fentus Blackthorn targeted Greycastle as a means to expand his influence. He wanted to own that trade route post. Enlisting The Knights of Torm and their leader, Gaius Dorne, to apply heavy pressure on the Greycastle family even as far as ordering the eldest son, Bastion Greycastle, to take the heads of his parents when the Duke declared them as treasonous criminals for failing to pay fealty.
Now Gaius Dorne operates from the Greycastle Keep inside the settlement with Bastion as his right hand. Both of these men loyal to Duke Blackthorn sitting in his high tower in Neverwinter reaping the benefits.
