Inside is a tome indicated to be owned by a Balthazar Bixby... filled with Vecnian scripture and history of the mad mage and his ascension along with this Balthazar writes some of his own notes, praising one, Meieleva Cyrotykk Zaluca for seeing something in him and granting him a great gift the Grave Ripper Staff. Turning the crank the Pelor symbol disassembles and reassembles into a symbol of Vecna. A secret church Vecna made centuries ago by a branch of Chelaixian immigrants who shot away from the demon and devil worship and chose the dark deity Vecna to be their form of ultimate praise. Led by Balthazar Bixby a devout necromancer. After the symbol is changed it triggers a a mass of spectral spirits that attacked those exploring the church. After the fight was over the explorers smashed down the symbol of Vecna to help ensure there would not be any more lingering influence from the evil deity.
