Magnimar Archmage Sebastian Cridicos

As a powerful wizard he earned the position of council to the lord mayor of Magnimar. He took the job as it offered him certain resources that made his studies easier. Having some political power now he can obtain certain items he would be unable to do so otherwise. At least not so easily.
He definitely views his job as on obligation and one that he doesn't like much at that. He clearly views those who don't study magic as simple and basic mortals. If one shows enough respect to him and the arts themselves more specifically he tends to have a more approachable demeanor. He sent off his first protege, Amagama Agamingi, to become a more learned world weary mage and in his place, magically conjured from his chance happening upon a deck of many things is taking to face this challenge of teaching, an eldritch knight.
Despite all his dislike for the position he holds he is fond of his home city which is what keeps him from moving on to Aurokumiara or the Academae in Korvosa.
