Episode 10: Deaths Door

General Summary

Aevar, Stali, Arene, Liv, and Saga were on a mission to infiltrate a castle controlled by a dangerous cult. However, things quickly took a turn for the worse when Saga and Liv are captured. Saga was near death, but Liv, calling out her name in the name of Freya, was able to stabilize her. They were dragged into jail cells. Aevar and Arene were able to run but when they looked back, Liv and Saga were nowhere to be seen. They didn’t see Stali ahead of them either Feeling hopeless, Aevar and Arene turned to the church for help. They had a conversation with the Priest, Berghild about good and evil, and the priest suggested that they might be able to get help from Delphin, leader of the bear clan, in the city of Fitjar.
Meanwhile, Saga was being manipulated by the cult, and Liv was trying to make a weapon out of a bone to help them escape. But their attempts were unsuccessful, as they couldn't lockpick their way out of the cell.
Back at the church, Dane Moonweather and his two children arrived, believing that the castle had a second level underground. He described seeing a terrifying, dead-looking man in the throne room, and the alarm bells sounding with more people pouring out of the castle than could have been in the one level.
The city guards arrived at the sound of the cult's castle. the group found that a lot of the guards had left to work for the cult because the pay was better. Oscar the innocent was the only one putting up a fight against the cult and she had been wrongly accused of being a cult leader and killing a prominent leader's daughter.
At 2 am Aevar and Arne woke up from a long rest to meet with Oscar, Berghild, the passive priest followed them to the meeting point in the wheatwell. They all agreed to infiltrate the castle now.
