Nos is a ring world sustained by magic. Along it's edges stand mountainous structures that seem to hold the world together, as if molded from the earth itself. Made from rock and metal and bound by magic, they stand against the vast vacuum of the void. Some call them home, hoping to unearth their magical secrets. Others shy away from them, thinking that people are meddling in things they don't understand. Oceans fill out what the mountains concede, full of life, wonders and dangers. Water flows from the mountainous rim into the oceans, yet somehow never overflow. Some believe this is because of the occasional whirlpool that occurs, but others claim that people drink as much as Nos gives. Many theories surround it, but none have solid proof. One thing is agreed upon though. Never enter the Sea of Londice. Those who enter rarely return and those who do, come back changed. Day's and nights occur naturally on Nos, due to the large moon that it encircles. Nos rotates around the moon, which blocks the sunlight for around eight hours for all areas respectively. Though the moon seems relatively close there are no records of anyone managing to travel to it. Occasionally, lights can be seen on the moon at night, and some theorize the moon is where all the magic on Nos comes from. Some worship it as a type of deity, just as others worship the sun. The moon is a mystery that has yet to be unraveled, much like the mountains and the oceans. One thing is agreed upon though, the moons name is Irith and the suns name is Yoes and they are both very important. Many environments cover the Nos. From deserts to lush forests, many biomes can be found. The only known man to have traveled the whole ring is a Halfling king named Barzor. Many attribute his rise to power from finding artifacts while traveling. His empathy towards his people is well known and Maybur, the name of his kingdom, is considered one of the most prosperous on the ring. There has been some turmoil on the border from barbaric lands of Nox, but Maybur overall is considered one of the safest places to live.
