The Circle

The Circle is somewhat of an anomaly within Noumentas. It sits in the very center, open and unsealed. All people, sealed or unsealed, may enter. It is a meeting place of the councils, and holds the doorway to the mundane realm. At Beltane and Samhain, the Circle is where the veil between worlds is thinnest in all of Noumentas, allowing passage between the barrier. Because of this, the Circle has an unusually high mundane-born human population.

Defences

While The Circle's isolation does protect it from outside forces, its main defenses are in its border portals. There are only four entrances to the Circle, plus a central entrance from the Mundane realm. In general, security is fairly lax, but attacks are rare and quickly quashed, as the Circle remains a sort of neutral ground for all of the major factions and as such, is seen as "off-limits" for any one group to take.

Architecture

The heart of the town is its tightly encircled labyrinth of streets. Most buildings are built of simple wood or stone, and line the cobblestone maze. Further into the rolling hills of the farmland surrounding it, small log cabins dot the landscape.
