Pillar of the South Wind

On the southernmost point of Nov Matar, in the midst of the deep jungles of Teruyalan, there sits the Pillar of the South Wind, one of the eight Pillars of Heaven. About ten feet across at the base and a hundred feet high, the pillar is rough-hewn out of what looks like pure ruby. It glows crimson under a stiff south wind.
