Theobald's Past

Theobald Romanov was born to Maria Romanov and Moroz Romanov in The Grand Imperium of Russia. He grows up in a time of unrest where the fringe territories had rebels that wanted to fracture it, this lead him to want to safeguard the innocent. When he came of age he joined the Russian Air Force because it was a way to help his nation and he always had a fascination with aircraft. On one of his tours while giving close air support to a tank column he was struck by an anti-air battery that was on their flank, crashed, and was severely wounded. To save his life they had to replace part of his skull and three ribs on his left side. After recovering from surgery he decided that the best way he could fight for what he believed in was to become an arms dealer, in May of 2020 he was offered a seat on an Industrial mission to Mars. He took the offer, it came with a small number of startup funds and a 1,000 acre parcel of land for housing, Industrial purposes, materials gathering, and processing. In preparations for the trip, he sold all his earth assets to have more money for employees. Upon arrival, he was relieved that he was the only arm manufacturer on the trip so he had a monopoly on it. This new company that he formed was to be called Mars Design and Fabrication (MDF) and his goal were to make the whole planet one massive manufacturing plant. In late 2023 most of the other companies that started with him went bankrupt and the rest were bought out by him making to where he controlled 45% of the planet. In mid 2024 Mars lead by MDF requested their independence from the United Space Association (USA) which they happily gave them as long as they keep their borders open and keep open trade with earth. All went will till the USA declared war on them on February 25, 2025 and the other outer corporations this was the start of the Sol Conflict the MDF took the brunt of the first fight as the USA bombed the factories and shipyards of Mars lucky for them their fleet was off planet. The war lasted till a white peace was signed on August 5 2025. For the rest of 2025 Theobald with relief help from United Space Association, Titan Cybernetics, and The Hive Integrated Intelligence and Genetics rebuilt mar's factories and shipyards. After Mars recovered the leaders of The Hive, Titan and Mars started to discussed the formation of Nation of the three, at the same time this was happening the USA offered to fund the Novagate project. On May 1 2026 Theobald Romanov Was named Chief Minister of NovaGate the Nation formed by the outer corporations they named after the project of the same name that they started to work on. Through the years leading up the construction of the Novagate they had developed the Singularity Event Generator . November 25 2030 the 4 year old NovaGate started The Novagate, all went will till on the 5 anniversary of the Nations formation "pirates" struck at the under construction Novagate they were fought of with little damage done Theobald knew that this were not Pirates but he did not know who it was. With The Novagate almost done and ready for testing they pick up a transmission sent systemwide from a group calling themselves the Plutarchian Syndicate saying that the human race was going to die at the claws of the far gods pet, the voice that Theobald heard was of his friend Alexander Hall a man was lost along with his crew on a exploration mission to Pluto. Thinking nothing of the message they follow on with testing the Novagate after turning it on a massive beast came through the gate and started to attack anything it saw (this was the pet that syndicate spoke about) the fleets of mars were able to kill it but it set back the construction by a few months. On May 31 2032 it was finished and Theobald started to preparation for The Jump, this was going to a massive colonization effort to system called Nova-Praxis. June 20 2032 The Novagate was activated and after they came to the other side Theobald claimed one of the uninhabited earth like planets as the capital and named it Nova-prime.
