In the distant future,

the newly commissioned SDMV Venture completes its record setting journey to a newly discovered star system. After mysteriously appearing thousands of light years outside the galaxy, the system, dubbed "Visca", was marked as a priority-1 by the Science Directorate. Preliminary scans indicate the presence of a biosphere on the second planet from the star, along with signals of artificial origin. Using its prototype reactor and engine, the Venture was able to make the trip in just over a year, carrying thousands of the most qualified personnel in the Cooperative.

Housed in an Exploration-Class Platform, your frame was created with state of the art Cooperative technology. SD Dynamics extensive use of nanotech means all Exploration Platforms remain adaptable no matter the circumstance. Your Machine Intelligence core can also analyze situations faster and retain efficiency in situations which even your bio-engineered human compatriots cannot. Once the Venture enters low orbit above "Visca-2", you will be dropped to the surface for advance reconnaisance.
