Half-Orcs in Novus

While orcs are not a plentiful race in Novus, half-orcs are. With shorter lifespans than other races, orcs chose to embrace intermarriage as the way forward for them in post-fall Novus.

In this view, half-orcs and orcs have few distinctions between them, carrying many of the same positive and negative associations.

Many half-orcs have chosen to dedicate themselves to preserving orcish culture, including language, history, art, and customs. They organize themselves into clans, some seeking to do expeditions beyond Novus to find clues about ancient orcs.

Other half-orcs lean into their non-orcish side, and assimilate into the racial diverse life of the city. Most view half-orcs much in the same way that they would view humans, elves, or dwarves in city.
