Nowhere

No one ever intends to come to Nowhere. One day you find yourself coughing up salt water on the beach, wandering through a thick jungle, or running head first into a cliff face with no idea how you ended up there. From that moment, Nowhere is your home whether you like it or not.   Not that it's a bad place to live mind you, the weather is nice if a bit samey, the people are friendly if a bit odd, and there are plenty of things to eat if you like seafood. Some people even embrace their new lives and the chance the island affords them to reinvent themselves, whether they were tired of constant conflict or bored of constant banality.   But no matter how gilded the cage is, it is still a cage.   Perhaps this is why so many people risk their lives tirelessly searching for a way home while struggling to maintain the stability of the multiverse and the safety of the island, whether that entails fighting a constant battle against twisted monsters, endlessly experimenting with strange arcane forces, or delving into who-knows-what, when, and where in search of answers.
