Disaster / Destruction4901u: The Terpsichore enters the system that contains her target planet, but the magnetic containment fails on the matter-antimatter drive, forcing its ejection. Köynyyenöhi Harlaan, the chief navigator, calculates a Hohmann transfer at 32 AU using chemical rockets. Xe plans to use the upper atmosphere of a gas giant as a brake to slow the ship enough for the escape pods to survive atmospheric insertion at the target planet.

FoundingRoughly, "Day of Fiery Sky": The Terpsichore successfully makes its Hohmann transfer at what would be known as Nuavaao. Shuttles are able to make it to the surface of the planet, but the orbital facilities that the Terpsichore was designed to hold, including the blinknet relay and naval-grade printer, are lost as her orbit inevitably decays, despite Harlaan's attempts to stabilize it, and she slams into the southern continent.
