Class: Priest

The Priest isn't a very competent melee fighter, preferring to smite their enemies with spells from a distance.
  • Priests also have the strongest healing powers, yet retain the ability to bombard the enemy with holy damage. Their powers to augment those around, heal wounds, and impair enemies make them indispensable to any party.
  • Priest are a Priest - ranged caster.

  • Ideal Character Race & Faction:

Yes, it is true, some Character Races and Factions seem to excel better with the class training then others. What this means is that certain character races and Factions will receive a race and/or faction bonus that goes towards gaining trait exp.

The ideal Race for the Priest Class are:

  • Vendhyan (+2 Vitality, +4 Agility, +1 Priest Trait)
  • Khitan (+1 Priest, +1 Demonologist)
  • The ideal Faction for the Priest Class are:

  • Felgarth: +1 Priest Traits
  •   However, you do not have to be one of these races or faction to be a Demonologist, you can be any you wish.

    Priest specialties include:

  • Healing,
  • Buffing
  • Holy damage
  •

    Priest Class Traits:

The class traits system allows you to customise your build to match your fighting style.   For the Priest Class, the following traits are recommended:   Level 10 Priest
Trait bonus and how to level it:
  • Priest = 6% Increased sorcery healing per level = You need to use healing spells to level it.

  •
      Level 10 Shaman
Trait bonus and how to level it:
  • Shaman = 2% Decreased mana cost per level = You need to cleanse debuffs or have less than 25% mana to level it.

  •
      Level 10 Ranger
Trait bonus and how to level it:
  • Ranger = 4% Increased ranged damage per level = You need to use a ranged weaponry to level it.

  •
      Level 5 Demonologist
Trait bonus and how to level it:
  • Demonologist = 15% Sorcery Damage per level = You need to deal damage with sorcery to level it.

  •
You can only earn 35 trait points, in total. So it is recommended that you lock the following trait lines, so you don't start accidently leveling them up:
  • Conqueror, Necromancer, Barbarian, Guardian, Templar, Herald.
  •   You can do this by going into your inventory screen, and clicking on the EEWA button/icon on the left of your hotbar. This will open up the EEWA menu screen.   Navigate to the traits section, and click the lock icon next to the traits you wish to lock. This will prevent you from leveling those traits and allow you to only level the ones your class will benefit from.   This is something only you are be able to do. If you chose not to lock any traits, you risk not earning enough exp to get the most out of the Priest Class.

    Priest Attribute Points:

As your class level increases, you will be rewarded with extra attribute points in the areas that will be of the most benefit to you and your class training.     However, to get the most out of your training, I recommend that when you are allocating your naturally earnt attribute points, that you aim for a minimum of:
  • 50+ Accuracy, 50+ Vitality, 30+ Grit, 30+ Agility.
  •   By putting your points in these areas before the others, you will increase your stats faster, and higher then what you could as a default character with default attributes.

The Pros and Cons of this class

      Pros:
  • This is a great supporting class, and when built correctly it will make a great ranged class.
  •   Cons:
  • Even though the priest is able to use shields, their soft armor makes them vulnerable to melee fighters.
  •
