Green Dragon
Green dragons are a sub species of chromatic dragons. They are master manipulators who revel in corrupting lesser creatures, often hoarding them like possessions. Green dragons are the most noumerous of all the chromatic dragons on Edora.
Basic Information
Anatomy
Green dragons are most notable for the large, waving crest or fin that starts at the dragon's nose and runs the entire length of the body. They also have exceptionally long, slender forked tongues.
Growth Rate & Stages
A green wyrmling can easily mistaken for a black, due to their nearly black scales. As the wyrmling mature, its scales become steadily lighter in color until they reach the striking green shade of an adult. The wyrmlings typically stay with both parents until they reached adulthood.
Dietary Needs and Habits
Green dragons especially enjoy the corruption and consumption of elves and other fey creatures. Green dragons only eat for pleasure, and they are extremely picky eaters. who would rather wait for their meal than chase it. They often scheme for months to conduct a plan that would bring their pray into their lair, usually under the guise of a quest or an errand.

Relationship Ideals
Green dragons mate for life, raising their wyrmlings together and maintaing a family stracture not unlike that of noble mortals. Despite this life long union, they would often plot to kill a spouse or a parent if they get in the way of their goals, or if they are simply bored with tham.
While parenting, they are reasonably good parents, with both the mother and the father typically staying close to their eggs while they incubate. Green dragon females either keep their eggs in a solution of acid or bury them in leaves moistened with rainwater.
Common Customs, Traditions and Rituals
Green dragons are known to have very bad tempers and a tendency for evil behavior. They love intrigue and secrets and often put up a front of diplomacy and deceit when dealing with stronger foes, but reveal their cruel and petty nature when intimidating lesser beings or when gaining the upper hand. They delight in stalking their enemies and listening in for any information they could gather before moving to attack.
