Rika's General Supplies

Rika's General Supplies is the only general store of Mabri. The store mostly deals with ship parts and supplies, but is also known to trade strange curiosities from time to time. It is owned and operated by Rika Drillerbit.

History

The building was first built in 1422 by Redwig Cling, a half elven former sailor who decided to settle down in Mabri. During it's first years, the store serve mostly as an exchange and grocery store.
With most trade in Mabri relying on ships going from and to Port Valor, Cling quickly took advantage of the situation, striking exclusive trade deals for many necessities such as salts, hides, iron and even food. Alongside other general items, the shop's selection was expanded to even include spare ship parts.
The presence of no other competition allowed Cling to charge high prices, often with profit margins in the hundreds of percents for mundane items and products. This greed led most of the town to ignore the store as much as possible, trading directly with the docking ships instead.
In 1561 Cling passed away from malaria, leaving the store in the hands of Rika Drillerbit. Under Rika's ownership the store prices where immediately reduces in more than half the original values. Another change was the inclusion of repair services performed by Rika, who was formerly a dry dock manager in Port Valor.
In 1564 the store name and signs were changed from 'Cling & Catch' to 'Rika's General Supplies' on behest of the townsfolk, who grew much fonder of the current owner over the former.
