Whisper

Whisper is a mythical dagger used as a symbolic artifact to be wielded by the hand of the Master of Lore of the College of Whispers. The dagger, and its various wielders, are rumored to be behind many assassinations, murders, rituals and other dark deeds thought history.
The dagger is rumored to be part of a set made up of two somewhat identical blades, giving their wielder great power if held together, as told by While Whisper is known and quite famous among students of history, no confirmed sighting of the twin blade has ever been seen.

Manufacturing process

The legends claim Talador's twin daughters each tried to outsmart the other and kill her. Talador did not want to see his daughters turn on one another and presented them with a single blade that will work only if they themselves work as one. When one of the sisters tried to murder the other, the blade slit into two and made it impossible for the wielder of one half to find the wielder of the other.

Significance

The dagger and its various owners throughout history are linked to numerous assassinations and odd events. The most famous event was the Twin Assassinations  , when both the leader of the Andorian Church and Queen of Vintia were assassinated.

The pommel, hilt and wrist guard are made from a single cast of crude iron, wrapped by aged leather. An unknown, potentially magical, round green gem is embedded into the top of the hilt.
The blade itself is made from two metals, a mithril core and a steel edge, fused together almost perfectly.

Mind Rend

Whenever a creature is struck with a critical hit from Whisper, the blade renders into its targets mind, projecting unspeakable horrors and disfiguring their surroundings.
the target must make a DC 12 Wisdom saving throw or become frightened from every creature around it. On a success, they are immune to being frightened by this effect for the next 24 hours.

Weave Strike

While attuned to Whisper, the user can throw the blade at a target. When the blade is thrown, but before any attack roll is made, the wielder can choose to merge themselves into the weave, following the blade and teleporting instantly wherever it hits. If the target is a creature, the wielder emerges in a space of their choice adjacent to the target. If the wielder miss the attack roll, the DM determines where the wielder teleports accordingly.
This ability can be used 2 + 1 times per proficiency level before needing a short rest.
