Wild Magic

Spontaneous Subconscious Weaving, commonly known as Wild Magic Surge, is a phenomena that occours when a magicaly aware creature manipulates the weave, intentionaly or otherwise, causing unexpected or undesired effects. It is often the result of magical experimentaion combined with lack of proper training and countermeasures.

Manifestation

Not all occurances of wild magic are noticable, nor do all give any prior notice before manifesting. The individual interacting with the weave determains the effect manifesting, and while extremely rare, the effect can even exceed their physiological limitations, causing them injury or even death. The manifested effects can be as subtle as a temporary change to the user's hight by a few milimeters, or as adverse as teleporting and entire group to another plane.

Localization

Wild magic is more common in populations that lack access to magical care and training. Wild magic is often the cause of salemizia and without proper education and protection it can also cause farther escalation of such behaviors. In more magically accepting communities the phenomena is usually countered at young age with the use of proper safety measures and education.

Countermemasures

With the exception of elite magical orders such as the Order of Xyjil and the Order of Arizor, nearly every magical academy begins their training with countering ocurance of wild magic. The most commonly thought methood of combating wild magic is by training of the brain to be subconsciously aware to the weave. This can be done by eforcing healthy interactions with low magic in young ages, such as the use of cantrips and magical items.
Coherant thought proccesses and a clear mind while casting are also important parts in avoiding wild magic and are thought by most magical academies during early years of study with special lessons and tests to accomodate the proccess.
In extremely rare cases when an individual is considered a danger to society and to themselves, there is the option of permenantly severing their access to the weave. While the solution is permenant it is also considered inhumane and as a violation of the natural law. The proccess is used exlusively by the Order of Nullification who keep the specifics as a closely guarded secret. The proccess was executed only a handful of times in the past and always resulted with catastrophic long term results to the subjects involved.
