Valenar

The Valenar are the ruling family in the Peraxian empire, and are known for their powerful dragon allies.

Dragon Allies

The exact nature of the Valenar's relationship with the dragons, or how exactly they are able to control such powerful creatures is unknown. Each direct member of the Valenar bloodline is paired with a dragon at birth, and that dragon is completely loyal to their partner. If ever a new prince or princess is born and no dragons are available, a new dragon will be hatched within one year of the birth.
Currently the Valenar have three dragons in their family:

Akephar

Akephar is the youngest of the three dragons at 63. She is black, with large curved horns and piercing blue eyes. As the youngest of the dragons she is also the smallest, with an overall length of 30 feet and a wingspan of 45 feet. She is partnered to the princess Rena.

Elarion

Elarion is the second youngest of the Valenar's dragons, at 254. He is a dark scarlet color, with golden eyes. Elarion is known for his golden fire breath, said to be the hottest dragon fire ever known. He is partnered with the prince Antonis. 

Herakles

Herakles is the oldest and most powerful of the Valenar's dragons. He is 597 years old, with scales the color of the sky, and pale green eyes. He is 80 feet long and has a wingspan of 100 feet. He is partnered with the Archon Ajax.
