The Naga Burung Tribe
"We were birthed in an egg within the yolk of the wind" - Hadian Langit
The Naga Burung tribe, family of Langit, is the wielder of the shield “Pembuat angin” or “Windmaker”. The Naga Burung have a spiritual connection with bird-like dragons that live in Karst stone towers. As such, they command control over elements, especially the wind.
Structure
Even though there is an overall powerful leader, The Naga Burung do prefer to split their governance among others. At the various cities ruled by the Naga Burung, there are Ketua who rule in the name of the Garuda who are chosen by the Garuda.
Culture
The Naga Burung are deeply rooted in the nature of the world. While they have a preference toward the wind, they also include other elements of life. The general culture is of respecting nature as it has become and they also worship the feathered dragons of Nusantara good and bad.
Public Agenda
They mostly just want to keep to themselves but they feel that tribes around Nusantara will destroy the dragons because they do not respect them.
Assets
There are a lot of minerals and oddities that grow in the high altitude places that the Naga Burung live. They have a good amount of elemental magic on their side. They lack much ability to travel other than through flight and a decent amount of boats.
History
Historically, the tribe believes that they were birthed from the egg of a great feathered dragon. They worship this dragon god and the other dragons of Nusantara as their creators along with some of the gods.
Demography and Population
Common races include Nusantarans, Aaracockra, Dragonborn, Kenku, Genasi, and Goliath. There are also members of other races around from other islands. Ratios are 25% Nusantaran, 25% Aaracockra, 15% Dragonborn, 10% Kenku, 15% Genasi, and 10% Goliath.
Territories
The tribe is well established on the island of Jacana. They have some foot hold on East Patah fighting with The Melolong Tribe and a greater presence on Jantung fighting with The Hantu Tribe and The Binatang Tribe.
Military
The military of The Naga Burung is full of people with natural abilities that make their army dangerous. The ability for most of them to fly along with those that can breath fire or blast water from their hands makes an army of diverse martial fighters. Sometimes a person will dedicate themselves to an element and they will become a special forces of sorts for the battlefield.
Mythology & Lore
Long ago, along with the primordial gods there were primordial dragons that floated through the cosmos. As the gods fought each other they slept. Then when the gods created sentient humans, they birthed them from eggs.
