Wayward clerics maintain ties to temples or orders, responding to requests or demands from their faith communities.
Not all temple officials are clerics; some lead simple lives, serving deities through prayer, not magic. In certain cities, priesthood is a political role, devoid of divine communion. Genuine clerics are rare.
