In Feudal society, the highest authority is vested in the Monarch, be it a sovereign King or Queen, who wields toal power over their realm and its subjects. Ascension to the throne is an exclusive privilege for those born to a sacred lineage of royalty. However, if one who enters the royal family by marrying the ruling monarch, they assume the esteemed role of Consort.
