Iceclaws
Basic Information
Anatomy
Iceclaws are a medium sized dragon species. They're the only dragon species with ‘fur’ or pycnofibres other than lightclaws that covers their back and forearms. They used to have a much thicker covering of pycnofibres earlier in their evolution but they grew more resistant to the cold over time. The underside of their ‘paws’ are covered in tiny serrations, to help grip ice and their teeth are long and icicle shaped. On the cheekbone are small dimples that serve no purpose. Iceclaws have long claws and back spikes. Their tail ends in a cluster of pointy and tough point tips to impale victims. Iceclaws are well adapted to surviving freezing temperatures and feel cold to the touch. They have sharper and smoother scales than other species like voltclaws. They exhale an ice cloud that freezes victims. Genetically they are closely related to voltclaws.
Growth Rate & Stages
