Anatomy

Toxiclaws are long, skinny dragons with venomous fangs. They are the second smallest species in Nyrogecia. Toxiclaws specialise in agility and flexibility, and the ability to manoeuvre through dense rainforests. They are immune to disease due to a hyper immune system but can be prone to allergies. They have smooth skin that quickly heals and can regenerate lost limbs in weeks. Toxiclaws are also able to be bipedal as well as quadrupedal, this lets them grow out their long front claws. Their most dangerous weapon is their tail that has 8 thagomizers. A simple blow to an opponent will cause serious damage and a horrible sting. Toxiclaw venom is fatal and fast acting, it currently doesn't have an anti venom. It is fatal 80% of the time if injected successfully. Toxiclaws are able to open their jaws very wide like a snake and they have small hook like teeth. Their ears are outward and can swivel to catch sound precisely.

History

Around the year 1200 voltclaws and toxiclaws were very close allies, even sharing their territory between themselves, this allieship was formed due to both queens becoming close friends. This allieship would soon horribly fail due to a series of lesser understood events. This soon lead to them becoming deadly enemies. At the time, toxiclaws were gaining a lot of wealth, they were experts in herbal medicine and traded herbs for diseases that were prevalent across Nyrogecia. Voltclaws may have become jealous of their growing economy. Toxiclaw royals formed the famous Cantelona Empire in 1930 much to voltclaws' anger. From the years 1930-2765 the toxiclaws were part of the Cantelona Empire alongside fireclaws and airclaws. Voltclaws and toxiclaws were still enemies but voltclaws were beginning to get more powerful and lead more brutal and unjust attacks on toxiclaws. In return, toxiclaws captured several small regions in their territory and looted some. Voltclaws are said to have inspired their strictly ordered kingdom from the Cantelona empire. toxiclaws wanted to surrender multiple times but voltclaws kept attacking. Toxiclaws had no choice but to steal their sacred amulet that was enchanted. This only escalated the attacks on their kingdom. In 2765 voltclaws surrounded the main kingdom of Cantelon, and through several years, enslaved and tortured toxiclaws from that area, then they killed them all and destroyed their entire kingdom of course, taking valuables. The remaining toxiclaws then retreated to the rainforest in their territory instead of the ruins of Cantelon in the plains (soon of course the rainforest enveloped the ruins). This marked the end of the Cantelona Empire as the main wealth of the empire was generated from the toxiclaws' kingdom. The fireclaws and airclaws soon separated as well. Fireclaws continued to uphold Cantelonian culture and language (as a secondary language that evolved to become Neocantel in modern times) but it gradually evolved to the modern culture they have today. Airclaws quickly let go of their culture and became their own nation. Toxiclaws were the most associated with Cantelona and kept its culture and continued speaking Cantelo as their main language to this day. In modern times, Scorchie escaped to their kingdom and throughout several years she killed many but was never able to be caught.
