Roger Carminieri

Predominantly legitimate owner and proprietor of The Merry Maid counting-house on Rightfin, Wandering City. Beulah Garland and Gavinus Garland used Roger as their primary fence back in their adventuring days. His take was often significant, but always transparent.
The crew of the Mounted Stag and the Mercy would occasionally attempt to take their business elsewhere on a big score, but invariably there would be an ambush, or "taxes", or contingencies in the event the consignment was unsuccessful... in the end, it seemed like bad business somehow but they always ended up back under Roger's clipboard, eventually giving in and just accepting that it was just easier to sell everything to Roger outside unique circumstances. By the time they retired, the couple would roll their eyes at young pirates arguing with Roger's head of security, Mur, about rates. Rookies.
Roger employs Mur, a former gladiator that has let himself go, and Indocril, a mean-looking, dual-axe-wielding ripped half-Orc with surprisingly genteel manners and a soft spot for a nice compliment.

Recent Interactions with the Mercy Crew

After picking up on some hints from Beulah Garland in illusionary disguise as her own nephew, Roger advised her that Gavinus Garland had still been visiting on his regular schedule with goods to sell. He was surprised to hear that he had not been in touch with Beulah, as nothing had seemed out of the ordinary during their last interactions over the past 18 months. He only noted that Gavinus had been bringing in more crew than usual during their last encounters, and that the paperwork had unfamiliar signatures on it.

Mur was positively delighted to meet Bella Garland's nephew and welcomed him with open arms, and Indocril gave them respectable space to catch up before helping him out at closing, heaving a 700-pound iron gate closed behind him like it was nothing. He was downright bashful when complimented on his strength.
