The Overcroft

The Overcroft is a Halfling trade hub located at a significant crossroads between the Halfling capitals and the Corran Empire.  It sits atop a broader subterranean borough known as the Overcrook, north of the Warrens and west of Cricklewood.  It is set in a valley, such that one has to climb uphill to the northeast to ascend towards Bridlip.

Vendors and Contacts

• Customs House: Matty and Sam run the customs house at the heart of the Overcrook.  While they appear to be dreadfully organized and always challenging one another about their record-keeping methods, they do run a fairly tight ship.  It was here that Beulah Garland learned that the buckthorn tea sold by Cedric Rustapot originated on a ship flying Nessardine colours known as the Daughter of Mercy.
• Hykkil's Pickles:  Hykkil von Hickenbottom hand-pickles the produce from the cucumber patch he maintains in his retirement and sells them here.  They are amazing pickles.  Which makes sense.  He attained a oneness with nature and doesn't take half-measures.  He goes nowhere without his scimitar and silver-enamelled bow. The Club did not know much about Hykkil, but he gave off an unmistakeable aura of competence and power.  He mentioned having abandoned a title in Tenthun.
• Mercenary Post: The Overcroft, like most of Hundred House, is patrolled by a number of human mercenaries.  These took a significant interest in Clytemnestra "Fanny" Glitters as they passed through, some of whom recognized her from the Circus.
