Lightbringer Spire
Shine Her holy light upon the world
In the capital city of Chronwhorl there are six spires that hold the six branches of the Order of the Discerning Gaze. The central spire, the Radiant Spire, houses the core of the religion and the five remaining spires are spread out in a ring near the outer edges of the city. This positioning forms a giant clock with the city, where the Lightbringer tower holds the position of starting the day. A full day's cycle is marked when the low hanging sun travels a full rotation around the city and returns to the Lightbringer Spire to start the new day.Appearance
Each spire has it's own distinctive appearance, based on the tenant it follows and the work it does. The Lightbringer Spire embodies the tenant of shining the holy light upon the world. In following this tenant, this spire has become the hub of goods and communication as well as the investigative force which works closely with the Battle Spire. The spire's appearance reflects this.Contrary to the common definition of a spire, the Lightbringer Spire is a large market hub with multiple towers extending into the sky. The highest of these towers is thick and topped with an enormous observatory, surrounded by landing platforms. While the market center at the bottom trades in goods, the observatory trades in knowledge and information. The second tallest tower houses the Lightbringer Revelations; the number one news source for Chronwhorl and the surrounding towns.
Many of the landing platforms around the top of the tower are designed for small personal crafts, but there are also a few built to accommodate the larger airships of the Battle Spire. The Battle Spire ships often dock at the Lightbringer Spire upon first returning to Chronwhorl to hand in reports and intel gathered while out of the city. A few of the large battle ships stay docked permanently at the Lightbringer Spire as well, since orders tend to reach this spire before the spire they are for, and the Holy Warriors have found that keeping a few battle ships docked there can make for a very quick launch in an emergency.
