Most see Aman and tremor runs up their spine. Something in his face and stature makes the weak tremble. He is a man of many strengths, but none of them physical. Unless you counted writing runes as a formidable physical trait. Sai would not. Despite his dark hair, and broad shoulder and constant scowl on his resting face Aman is a good man. A man who would rather teach you through a mistake than give you the required minimum lashes. In fact, if you looked close enough you would see the scars on his back where he was hit instead of his peers. After working his way to the top of his field in the library, there are no more lashes given or broken fingers. Punishment for misbehaving and making mistakes is given in extra work load, so now if you snap a finger turning the pages of a heavy book it is your own fault.
Aman was the first High Librarian to allow Lowborns into his territory. It was a scandal at the time, but after seeing the skill and work his Lowborn apprentices put in it is no longer an issue. He does his best to make The Library of Light a safe place for High and Lowborn who need it.
