Apleau and Ostren are split by how each country is ruled.

• Apleau is ruled by the reigning family monarch. On the throne now is Queen Ayasha Yu. She believes that Apleau is superior to Ostren in every way and believes that her ancestors were correct in splitting the nation. 
• Ostren is run by a monarchy but with strict regulations. A new monarch is chosen and voted in an election held every 4 years. The current leader of Ostren is dwarf Father of the Nation Gramrik. He enjoys Ostren and loves a pint or two from time to time. 

Industry & Trade

As Apleau and Ostren are basically the same it means they have the same imports except for both nations they lean towards different imports that separate one from the other.

History

Started as Astana, Apleau and Ostren are fundamentally the same in every way except for how each region is run.  Over petty differences, the twins Morgan and Roswell split the country. One half, Apleau, continues to be run by the reigning monarch, Queen Ayasha Yu and Ostren is ruled by dwarf Father of the Nation Gramrik.
The capital Baremore and the holy city Eaglehand are shared by both nations. Both nations are heavily advanced in industrial efforts. Apleau is known for it's copper mines and uses their imports and exports from Aspain to create new inventions daily. Ostren is more of a fishing country with multiple gem deposits it is highly advanced in marine mechanics, creating impeccable ships that can even withstand the strongest storms.

Tourism

For its technological advancements and impressive ships, Ostren and Apleau bring in their income from mostly tourism as many people enjoy the almost futuristic architecture of Baremore. 
Baremore is also home to the largest merchant guild in Lunaecia.
