History

No longer the great region it once was, Astana was created under the notion that it would be the first country within Lunaecia to unite and start an empire. Ruled by Ding Astana for some time, his family continued to rule Astana as it became ruled under a monarchy. For two centuries the monarchy had complete control until the twins Morgan and Roswell fought over who would control Astana. Of course Astana ruled under a monarchy so the eldest son would inherit the throne. The eldest was Roswell, but he wanted to change Astana completely under his rule. Instead of one family ruling over the region, the ruler would be voted by the people every few years or so. Morgan disagreed and wanted to keep the same traditions. The argument lasted two days and the twins came to the conclusion of splitting the countries. Roswell created Ostren and Morgan created Apleau. The people too were split and even families were separated and long lasting friendships ended. In the end, the country split. The other countries were unaffected by the split and were neutral when asked which side to pick. Both Apleau and Ostren are the same in every way. They share the City of Baremore. There are some tensions but they are not as fierce as they were before the split.
