Skeld Wood

Home of the Skeld Elves, distant cousins of the Hollylin Wood Elves, this area takes on a much colder climate than the tropical and stormy Korlian Hills. The Skeld also call these woods the Mammoth Woods.
Unlike the lower half of the continent, there are is a lack of dinosaurs in the area. Other monstrous creatures, like caribou, saber-tooth tigers, and giant woolly mammoths make up that part of the ecosystem.
A south eastern portion of the forest has been destroyed by remorhaz, large subterranean worms that give off tremendous heat and live near the magma in the northern volcano. Their hides, scales, spines, and the remorhaz berries are all valuable to the elves.
Over the mountains to the northwest, a swirling cold storm spirals around the peak of the mountains.
