Aldur
Aldur sits in the far north, rough, ruthess and cold. It is an unforgiving land, overflowing with ice and the blood of the warring tribes fighting for survival and land.
Drakkvig is the capital, the largest settlement that has remained untouched for the last 25 years. Valammar Kvarg's sure and strong wits have played a big part in it's survival.
Aldur houses dozens of different tribes, but only five have the most power, and thus, significance. Lead by Valammar Kvarg, the tribe of the bear resides in Drakkvig, cultivating a flourishing community. They fight for peace and rarely pillage smaller villages, preferring diplomacy to the hundreds of years of tiring war. The tribe of the bear directs their violent temperaments to the raging mountain beasts instead, their full force required for the protection of Drakkvig.
The other tribes are Salmon, Fox, Wolf and Dragon. The tribe of the dragon has a reputation for being the most violent, and their hunger for more land and more power has driven them down from the mountains and deeper into the mainland in search of villages to burn down.
Geography
A dangerous deep forest that ends at the shadow of the snowy mountains. The area is filled with crystal clear lakes and dark woods, with hidden villages in between.
Fauna & Flora
Aldur is largely inhabited by creatures capable of surviving in the merciless cold and the lack of fresh greenery, so long as you don't count the endless pines and spruces.
Wolves, bears, drakes and squirrels are among the more common creatures, but certainly not the only ones. If you are lucky, you might catch a glimpse of an owl griffin or even a kipine.
The plant life of Aldur is mainly pines, spruces, and other trees used to the climate. Some cranberries and blueberries can be found in between mossy rocks, if they are still untouched by the forest animals.
