After a German laboratory came out that they had formulated an equation for nuclear fusion. Several dozen terrorist attacks happened almost immediately. This lead to the nuclear bombing of the middle east, killing almost 200 million instantly. The Russian Federation began rampaging towards Germany through eastern Europe. The American Empire declared war on Russia and China, and India nuked Pakistan after doing the same. North Korean troops pushed past the border into South Korea while Japan started to rampage through northern China and the Pacific. Cuba was nuked, and Venezuela along with central America was invaded by the Americans. The British were nuked repeatedly by the Russians, and millions died. After several unsuccessful attempts, German hackers managed to leak the formula. And just like that, the fighting ended overnight as everybody had the tech. America took territories in South and Central America, along with Canada. Russia regained much of its Soviet territories, and India annexed Pakistan.
