The Great Father
The Great Father is the supreme being of the universe. He always was and will ever be. He has dominion over everything. He sent Luxaz first as a punishment from the heavens to Octisafell. After Luxaz ran amok, The Great Father sent the other eight gods and goddesses of the Exalted Circle to Octisafell to restore and rectify the work of Luxaz.
The Great Father is omniscient and all powerful. He loves his creation, but also requires justice. He has given free will to all of his creation including gods, goddesses, and the peoples of Octisafell.
The Great Father created Octisafell's gods (the Exalted Cirle) to govern and oversee the peoples of Octisafell. Each god and goddes has their own domain over which to preside. Each god and goddess also has a particular branch of magic with which to imbue their followers. Each branch of magic has many uses and affinities. Luxaz is the god of black magic, the others each have one of the colors of the rainbow to guide, and white magic is for those who have gained mastery over all branches of magic and are devoted to Ligrasil. The Great Father oversees all nine branches of magic and all nine gods and goddesses.
The Great Father and all nine lesser deities are worshipped in the Great Temple in Tirfalon. Each god has a tower for worship in the temple. There is fabulous stained glass in the temple's main atrium depicting the fall of the gods and the expulsion of Luxaz from the heavens. The atrium is where The Great Father is worshipped and offerings made.
