The Laughing Jackal Tavern
The Laughing Jackal is a disreputable tavern in a rundown section of Tirfalon. It is infamous ofr shadey deals and plotting of all kinds. The second story of the tavern is made up of one large room and it is where the Chaos Cult is said to meet.
Purpose / Function
To sell food and drink to local citizens of the sector. It also serves as a meeting place for groups wishing a private room for clandestined discussions.
Design
The upper room contains a fireplace which shares the chimney with the fireplace on the ground floor. It also contains large shuttered windows to allow for ventilation in the summer months. The heavy shutters provide a snug and quiet place in the winter time.
Entries
There are two entrances. One is a stairwell which leads down into the common room of the tavern. The other is an outside stairway that leads directly to the back alley for quick retreats in case of discovery by the law or enemies.
Sensory & Appearance
The room is clean with the scent of wax candles and wood polish. When the window shutters are open in the daytime, the room is brightly lit. During the evening and night or when the shutters are closed the room is lit by several lamps and candles in wall sconces or on the table.
Denizens
Any group wishing to meet pays the tavern owner a silver piece per meeting to reserve the room. A standing meeting can be reserved a month at a time or longer. It is also expected that the party buys food and drink while they meet.
Contents & Furnishings
A large, central table dominates the space seating up to fifteen people at a time. There are chairs lining three walls and small tables at intervals between the chairs. There are plenty of lamps and candles in the room. A sideboard sits along one wall to hold food and beverages ordered by the patrons.
Alterations
The building has remained the same throughout its history except for minor decorative alterations inside.

The Laughing Jackal is a two-stor tavern built of wood and brick. It is made up of a kitchen and large common room boasting a massive, brick fireplace on the ground floor. The upper floor is one big room.
