Thorngrove

Thorngrove is the city that surrounds The Black Tower (Tralfangar). It was originally an encampment of the people that Luxaz collected to corrupt into the dark species. Then, it was a city where the dark species lived and were controlled by Luxaz. [/p[

In 5 AG during the Dark Revolt, the dark species rebelled against Luxaz and attempted to destroy the Black Tower and consequently the city of Thorngrove. They triggered an avalanche that resulted in the Decimation of Thorngrove & Tralfangar as well as most of Tralfangar. After the revolt, they fled into the Dark Beneath and created a Subterranean Civilization.

In 1800 AG, Melafinner rebuilt the Black Tower and a new settlement was reconstructed over the ruins of the old city. As of this writing (2001 AG), there are now 50,000residents living in Thorngrove. It is the second largest city in Octiragrin.

The city is home to a small temple, many tradesmen, artisans, artist, fishermen, and a thriving cargo barge industry. Most of the fishing takes place on Anticipation Lake, but there is some fishing in the Silver River. Barges carry ore, precious gems, weapons, jewelry an other metalwork, fish, and other products down river from the dwarves in the Silvervein Mountains and Thorngrove to Tirfalon.
