Thargren

Thargren is God of the Forge, of Life, and Creation, Mountains, Crafting
It is said that the Dwarves were created deep in the earth. Thargren used the boing magma deep below Od itself as his forge. That much energy was required to make his greatest creation to date, Dwarves.
Every Dwarven smith's dream is to gain the favor of Thargren. Those with exceptional skills at smithing are granted a gift. Only a small group of people have every obtained this, and the works that granted the favor are known as Great Works.

Temples

Thargren's temple are setup as forges/workshops, and are led by Forgemasters (clerics). These temples are hot and loud. Forgemasters often bless those coming to the forges by striking a got ingot on an anvil, showering them with sparks.
The temples do not create anything for commercial purpose, instead those worshiping here spend their days forging items from metals they've gathered. They must find and collect these metals themselves, they cannot buy them or be gifted them. After forging the item, it is reviewed, critiqued, then melted down and reforged.

It's all part of the process of making something perfect. It's not easy, and takes time. It's not good to dwell on past mistakes. Make them, recognize them, then use that knowledge to better yourself. Reforging allows fixing mistakes, making things better, stronger.

The item the worshipper forges is up to them, and should symbolize something important, overpowering, or an aspect of their lives they wish to improve.
Many temples work in service for other diety followers as well, often being the source of many temple's and follower's holy symbols and religious items. Followers of Thargren work to serve.

History

Thargren spent his time in his Deep Forge, not concerned with conficts of the other Gods. He created many things, many creatures, until he was forced out by the other Gods.
