Carl Carelson

of the Capetown Cartographers Carl Carling Carelson

Carl Carelson, the "Legendary" explorer, it says so right on his pamphlets! He has been elected the Cartographers Guild "Most Well Traveled", and also holds the guild record for Near Death Experiences. He has traveled the world and seen everything, or so he would have you believe. With a wide array of knowledge in the far reaches, the Guild can put up with a few quirks for his useful expertise.
His book "The world under my feet" made great headway in not only travelers circles, but as well in households for its fun outlandish tone and nearly impossible stories. Most know his face, or have at least heard his name from the West to East coasts.

Mental characteristics

Education

Educated in the ways of the world, the Earth in my teacher and time is my only limit... Well that and gravity.

Employment

Currently employed by the Cartographers Guild, because why wouldn't they employ the most famous explorer in the world. Seems like a good idea.

Accomplishments & Achievements

Elected: "Most Well Traveled", Guild Record for Near Death Experiences, The Frolicking Otter Pie Eating contest winner 3 years in a row

Failures & Embarrassments

Failure is really an opportunity isn't it? There are times in this world when things won't exactly work out... but those times are few and far between. For instance never wear red to the running of the bulls. What's that you say, where was that? It's a great story actually.

Yes, several in fact. Rather essential in this line of work. I once knew a Rooster in the far port who could hold a conversation by scratching out a response on the dirt. Brilliant bird, could even play checkers.
