Fharlanghn

Dweller on the Horizon

Often called the Dweller on the Far Horizon, Farlanghn venerates immense wanderlust and what lies beyond. As the god of road and travel, his divine sigil decorates the archways of roadhouses, inns, and stables throughout the continent. In addition, nations will invoke his blessings during the construction or repair of roads.
I've never understood those that question "Why go?" To them I respond, "Why not go?"
— Farlanghn - God of Travel and Distance
Together with his younger brother, Celestian, he originates from ancient Oeridian tribes. The brothers sought new experiences and knowledge thereby teaching their people to migrate beyond the valley. While his brother explores the wildspace and beyond, Farlanghn travels every road and route throughout the multiverse.   He's often depicted as an old man with wrinkled weathered skin. From a distance, he'll appear road weary with a travel stained cloak and threadbare trousers, but as he approaches, you see the youthful energy sparking from his glittering green eyes. He always welcomes discussion and questions, but his wanderlust will soon spur him over the next horizon.

Artifacts

Oerth Disc:
According to legends, the disc was crafted from many kinds of wood with carved inlays of turquoise and jade surrounding an amber gemstone in the center. Many believe that Fharlanghn can produce an image of any location on the Prime Material Plane allowing him to teleport anywhere. Others believe that the disc was a gift from Celestian, his brother, containing the power of a star within it which allows Fharlanghn to shoot conctrated sunrays for illumination, burning, or blinding of others.

Journey Stick:
Plaits from various species of trees weave under and over each other like a celtic knot giving this staff strength beyond measure. According to legends, this walking aid grants Fharlanghn a mighty bonus when used as a cudgel but it also serves to nourish and refresh him allowing him to travel for days without rest or refreshment.
