Procan (Pro-Kahn)

An ancient primal deity, Procan is the Oeridian god of seas, sea life, salt, weather, and navigation. His holy symbol is a gold and coral trident above or piercing a cresting wave. Procan's domain is the sea, and whatever the oceans touch. A chaotic god, he can be benevolent or malevolent depending on his whim. He mood shifts to darkness as he witnesses a brutal murder on the docks of a squalid port, then lifts in pride as he watches a brave mariner leap into the sea, saving a drowning child. He is the embodiment of mercurial winds and uncertain fate, and greedy and possessive of the wealth that comes to his domain, whether deliberate offerings or sunken ships. As an elder god, he roams the cosmos freely.     Wild and tempestuous, he grants his clerics access to the Tempest domain. He is embodied in the sudden storm that overtakes a ship, battering it with monstrous waves and howling winds that give way to peaceful waters and calm weather in the space of a moment. At the start of a journey, sailors will toss gold overboard as an offering for fair seas and following winds.   Procan is portrayed as a muscular man with blue-green skin and hair. His eyes are golden, glinting like sunken treasure. He carries a large spear dripping with seaweed.
