Wellgar Brinehand
Wellgar Brinehand--an older, human man-- made his living as a hired hand on assorted whaling ships until the incident that took his left leg. Now, fitted to the hip with a wooden leg , he serves the god Procan at a temple on the hill. His sharp memory recalls every storm, lost ship, and enormous catch brought into Saltmarsh harbor. A master story-teller, his services are well-attended as he relates fanciful tales of shipwrecks, lucky escapes, and famous captains. Matters ashore don't hold his interest as he eyes gaze back out toward the sea.
You've heard that he uses the blessings of Procan to locate and recover the remains of sailors for a proper burial.
Curator at the Temple of Procan, children of Saltmarsh often surround this older human who narrates stories involving storms and shipwrecks from ages past.
