Empyrean Justiciar
Empyrean Justiciar are divinely appointed warlords that are sent to serve in a conflict of great import to a god. They are often born to mortal families, though they can be immortal agents sent to the mortal world.
Qualifications
Marked or sent by a god to lead in a war.
Requirements
Intelligence, piety, and portents.
Appointment
A glow envelops the individual, and the mark of the deity overlays them, imbuing a light that seems to give their eyes a moderate glow and the mark that they had turns gold.
Duties
Lead the war that the god has ordained them to participate in, and stand firm in the ideals that the god espouses.
Responsibilities
To be victorious, or die to bring about the victory.
Benefits
Vastly increased strength, durability, agility, and magical power.
Accoutrements & Equipment
Often equipped with the best that they are able to use, any equipment that would be forbidden by the god is not usable.
Grounds for Removal/Dismissal
When a Empyrean Justiciar completes their task they lose many of the benefits, only retaining the enhanced spell casting. Most will keep their equipment as well. Another benefit is that they are guaranteed to join the god they served upon death, unless they actively rebel against them which would remove all the benefits they had gained.
Cultural Significance
The coming of a Empyrean Justiciar is a herald of great unrest, but the factions that have them on their side will feel that they will likely come out on top.
