The Ark Festival

A week long festival where families craft miniature artistic facsimiles of the ships that brought their ancestors to Orgranys. Every replica at the end of the festival brought to an open space and a small quartz stone is inserted into the miniature. The stone is carved with runes and is magically fuse with its miniature ship. After a few minutes the ships begin to rise and fly off into the heavens.   The celebration is accompanied by feast, games, and competitions. The common fare for the duration is dried food stuffs, smoked cheeses and cured meats. A game similar lacrosse called ivlia. Ivlia is named for the wood that is used to build the arenas it is played in, Ivliawava an oak like wood that when used build a container eliminates gravity in it. Players rebound off surfaces or each other to move. The competitions range from artistry and craftsmanship, to feats of strength.   The world stands still for this holiday celebration for the people know not why the gods keep them from Aytera. The common belief is that the world is either dead or cursed.
