Personal history

It is said that Branndyr's species used to number several. Though they can grow indefinitely to fill their containing volume, all but Branndyr were killed before they could grow to his dimensions. To survive, Branndyr struck a deal with the native inhabitants of Korsae. He would grant them they ability to burn Ironwood, and they would let him live. That day Branndyr realized that knowledge is power, and that the only way to avoid his demise is to know everything there is, and everyone.   Ancient cultures around the world feared Branndyr. The serpent earned many titles: monster, devil, demon. They felt his presence, creeping forth from the underworld to steal the dreams of wiser men.   For millennia, Branndyr's hunger for knowledge has led him across the world, to its highest peaks and darkest depths. Cunning and methodical, he has quietly watched entire civilizations rise, stagnate, and collapse, spent centuries combing the ocean floor for its secrets, even scrying the movement of the stars in the heavens above him. To hide himself from the world, he dug an endless maze of tunnels under the islands of Korsae, his home.   Branndyr now knows so much that he can predict what is to come, so his presence outside his home is gone. But his thirst for knowledge is insatiable: until his species is resurrected and all men are destroyed, there is much to learn.
