The Mother Dryad

The Mother Dryad calls the largest oak tree in the Thin Thicket  her home. Her and her three daughters (The Three Sisters ) work to keep the balance in the thicket by the natural laws of Neysus.
In the year 1480SM, a green hag by the name of Ethel Titchwillow came through to the material plane with her ettercap minions and imprisoned The Mother in her own tree. Over the years, Ethel spread her corruption through the thicket slowly making it home to her arachnid slaves.
Ten years later, 1490 SM, a group of adventurers known as The Galloping Galavanters, defeated Ethel and released The Mother from her long sleep. It is said she bestowed upon them great gifts, and in line with the laws of the wild earth, she claimed one of them as her champion in return.
Her sickened tree, now shed of its blight, has begun to heal and all those who intrude speak of a human man, covered in bright silks, his double scimitar in hand and shining shield by his side, stands guard tirelessly as the thicket around him is restored.
