Majikal Arts are the study, implementation, and mastery of the basic concepts of Magic. They are spells that are used as the foundation for all magical combat, referred to as an Art. Outside of the 8 Principal Arts, each one relating to one of the 8 basic schools of Magic, there are other specified Arts developed by Clans or fabled Mages.   In some cases one may find elemental-based magical spells, and what is the difference between a Fire Art and something like the Pyro Elemental Tome? The difference is in the energy expelled to transform your Magical Energy. If you lack the PET and cast a Fireball Spell, you need to turn your Magical Energy into a fire-like substance and then cast the spell. Whereas with the PET, that magical element is already within you and you simply need to expel it. Having an Elemental Tome for a given element makes using it incredibly easier than without it.    But, outside of the said elemental Arts, all other Magical Arts can be used and learned by anyone else but not all of the Arts are geared for combat. For example, the Majik Art of Divination excels at gaining information for its user but by itself offers no real combat advantage. Or the Majik Art of Illusion which can be used to trick an enemy or mislead them but won't help you heal a fatal wound. And so it is common practice to master, or at the very least become proficient with all 8 Principal Arts.

Effect

A Majik Art is a specialized form of Majik that zeros in on certain elements, fighting styles, and movements that distinguish it from normal or Basic Majik. These styles need to be practices and perfected and every user has their own spin on it, thus the name Majik Art is suitable. As it truly is an art form to master and use one of them correctly.

8 Principal Arts

There exist 8 principal majikal arts based on each of the 8 Schools of Magic. These are the fundamental Arts and from them, new specialized Arts are developed.
  • Majik Art of Necromancy -- Spells that specialize in the manipulation of life energy and raising the dead. Masters of this Art are known as Necromancers.
  • Majik Art of Golemancy -- Spells that deal with constructs empowered by Magical Energy. Masters of this art are called Makers.
  • Majik Art of Divination -- Spells that excel in information gathering and sensory advancement. Masters of this Art are called Clairvoyants.
  • Majik Art of Abjuration -- Spells that pertain to the defense or warding off a person, place, or object. Masters of this art are called Abjurationists.
  • Majik Art of Theurgy -- Spells that rely on the aid of other Supernatural beings to perform miracles for them. Masters of this Art are called Summoners.
  • Majik Art of Enchantment -- Spells that deal with the act of enchanting items or places to fulfill a certain task. Masters of this art are called Enchanters.
  • Majik Art of Alchemy -- Spells that mix Magic and Science to birth a new field of study. Masters of this art are called Alchemists.
  • Majik Art of Illusion -- Spells that call for the manipulation of a person's five senses to trick, convince, or deceive them. Masters of this Art are called illusionists.

Gestures & Ritual
A Majik Art will usually require some form of activation which separates it from Base Majik, like a phase or a certain gesture, this changes wildly from Art to Art.
